Tennessee Aquarium
The Tennessee Aquarium is one of the most visited attractions in the entire Southeast, drawing more than a million visitors annually to its two buildings on the Chattanooga riverfront. The River Journey building traces the Tennessee River from the Appalachian highlands to the Gulf of Mexico, while the Ocean Journey building explores saltwater ecosystems from coastal swamps to coral reefs. Combined, the two buildings house more than 12,000 animals.
Group admission rates are available for parties of 15 or more, and the aquarium's education department offers custom programs for school groups. Bus drop-off uses the Broad Street approach at the aquarium's main entrance, steps from the IMAX 3D Theater next door.
